THE GREEN KITCHEN

SO many questions about this kitchen. WHY GREEN?! Everyone who visits my home thinks it’s pretty rad, but quite bold and I have to agree. Nineteen year old me loved those Pinterest rookie days and didn’t really think far into the future. First off, the kitchen is custom made by Rolands Joinery. Custom cabinetry isn’t exactly frugal and so to go with GREEN CABINETS KAYLA?! Wtf. Most days I still love them as they are a reflection of who I was back then and how bold I could be. Twenty-seven year old me though, she understands more now that possibly a more muted tone would of been easier to work with.

Let’s take a look back at all the changes that have happened:

Yeah yeah, poor quality photo I know. But this was the original kitchen and here is what we added next:

So the green cabinets were installed, I thought it was lovely but…then we added onto our home and the old entry way you see here was no longer.

Now that we have shuffled the kitchen around, added a range hood cover and a make-shift corner cabinet, I’m patiently waiting to have this space completed for good. Cabinets will replace the basket and corner shelf as well as a cabinet (not pictured here) sitting on our counter to hide the coffee pot and create more storage (babies have a lot of things). Oh, and I need a new cook stove desperately but I’ve been waiting for a good deal to replace this one. Now, the big question is…when I order more cabinets do I continue my path with the green? I always sit here and think navy blue naturally, but to repaint might be hard on the bank account. Anyways, let me sit on it. I’ll share how this all comes together.
