Organizing with BESTAR
OUR HOMESCHOOL ROOM & OFFICE
I wanted to create a space out of our spare bedroom (James’ old nursery) that would serve a better purpose. For the last three years, this space was utilized for unorganized storage and a guest bedroom. We don’t get guests often and I have big plans to homeschool James.
With the help from Bestar, we were able to add organizion in one day.
We chose the 25’’W Closet Organizer with Drawers.
Our units are from the Versatile Collection because I loved the profile on the drawers.
Starting with the directions, we thought it would be best to build the drawers first because in the past, they seem to be the hardest. However, we were pleasantly surprised with how smooth and easy the process was. Each piece was labelled coordinating with the instructions - which helped a ton!
PRO TIP: Organize all the pieces from in the box including the hardware.
The drawers come with antique iron hardware. The sliders glide smoothly and we love the safety feature that only allows for one drawer to open at a time (Even though the unit is secured to the wall).
Moving onto the shelf unit, we started by placing all the hardware in its designated spot. With all three sides together, we anchored them in place. Two people are required to lift the top shelf unit onto the base. The shelf has crown moldings and one edge rounded trim for a finished look. The shelving unit features 2 fixed and 4 adjustable/removable shelves to customize your closet organization. I chose to use three out of the four shelves provided to store larger items.
With the shelf unit in place, we added the drawer sliders to the shelf unit and the drawers.
My favourite part of course is organizing and decorating.
One unit will be used for James’ art supplies, books, and school work while the other houses my office equipment and decor.
With the extra deep drawers, we were able to store away so many of our items with plenty of room to spare.
