TWELVE YEARS OF COLD: How we finally made our home warm with the Regency Fire Alterra i3000

For twelve years, we’ve been layering up, wrapping ourselves in blankets, and waking up to chilly mornings in the main area of our home. Living in Northern BC with only one wood stove in the back of our home makes a person have some grit - but twelve years?! I guess being cold became normal but there was a lingering thought: one day we will make it warmer.

That one day finally came.

WHY WE NEEDED A CHANGE

The fireplace in our home was there - but it wasn’t functional. It was more of a feature than a source of warmth, which meant that during long winters, we relied on ONE heat source that never quite reached this part of the house.

Year after year, we dreamt of making our fireplace functional and in November 2024, we got the ball rolling.
